Subject: NEW ATM IN KUTA! Mon May 23, 2011 6:39 pm
Following my reminder recently about no ATMs in Kuta, I saw a sign today at Tastura Hotel for a Bank Mandiri ATM so dived in for more info.
They are still building the cubicle and the ATM will not be in place and active for another month or two but great to know that once it opens there will be no reason for guests to do that 50km round trip to Praya just to get some money out!

About time Gemma! I also read that they are putting an ATM at Tanjung, which is greatly needed to service that end of the island - locals more so than tourists, although there is more development going through that way and a nice new road surface.

The ATM is now in service. I made my first withdrawal from it yesterday.
One thing to keep in mind though is that when there is only one ATM in town it can run out of money fast
