I finally booked our flight today, 3 weeks and we will be in Lombok.....YAY

That's quick --- between booking and flying! Have a great trip!

I know, I thought I had better come over for a visit before I go back to work from maternity leave.

I also want to see the progress on our house and to see my husband.

Our house is in Rembitan Village, South Lombok.
Not sure if you know South Lombok but our house is built on the old art shop site on the main road.
I hope to moving over shortly, within the next 6 months.

Hi Renae,
We have booked our tickets as well and will be arriving in Lombok around the 10-11th Sept, just in time for Eid!
The whole family is counting down the days!!
It's raining here and 4 out of 5 of us have a cold, it will be great to get back to the tropical warmth of Lombok... I will have to look google maps and find Rimbitan Village, I don't know the south of Lombok well. I use to live on the East coast.
How long will you be in Lombok??

Is that the Batik shop? Well either way looks like we will be neighbours, as we are only a few kms down the road. I have been in Bali for a while but am moving back to Kuta permanently pretty soon. So will look forward to meeting you.

We are doing the same, counting down the days - 13 to go.
I know what you mean about having colds, last week we were all sick. I'm dreaming of the warmth.
We (my girls and I) are staying until 20th September but if my husband gets his way we won't be leaving Lombok.


If you go to: http://maps.google.com.au/ and cut & paste these numbers in it should take you to our house. ( -8.831156,116.294113)
If not go to Kuta - Lombok and head north a little until you get to Rembitan.

Where will you be staying? How many kids do you have? We should meet up for a Kopi.

YAY - neighbours.
Yes my husband built our house on the old batik shop site.


I know your place very well, I almost had a few motorbike accidents there, i'm sure I looked very funny to the locals. I was 20 weeks pregnant with my 4 yr old daughter on the bike who kept falling asleep while standing up.

The new road is great and only the locals know about it so alot of the traffic still goes down the old road. My husband knows your husband, I past him a few times while I was riding to Rembitan but didn't get the chance to stop and meet him.
I'm sure I will meet him on my next visit.

When are you back from Bali? Do you have kids? I have a 4 yr old girl & 5 month old girl. When I move over it would be nice to have a chat about Lombok life for a western woman.

We have a 4 year old boy so sounds perfect that we meet up :-)

Yes that hill crest and a bend... We have seen many accidents there. I am always a bit nervous turning in that some nutter will come flying over the hill straight into me!

We are moving back probably in October/November... need to sort out removals and a tenant for the house in Bali first and have a friend over from UK arriving tomorrow so wont even start looking till she leaves.
