My bet on opening date for the new airport in Lombok

I think many would be quite happy with a March 2012 opening, I hope you're right.

I would be happy with March 2012 - In time for Visit Lombok & Sumbawa year 2012!

First you have to define what you mean by 'open'.
If we mean that Indonesia politicians declare it open, then I'd say march 2013.

If we mean the first arrival of an international flight, which is a flight that is a scheduled international flight regularly flying in from a destination that does not currently have direct flights to Lombok - e.g. Australia, then I'd say November 2015.

Also I finally got around to reading the latest Bali Discovery news letter and the latest there is also March 2012 for the opening.

The opening will be after the renovation and begging for money to do all this.But real tuak friends are optimistic so I go for April 2016.
