Am seriously now thinking about 2011 and sad but true I don't think Lombok will be on the agenda.

Hubby no where near as keen to return!

Soooooo sad!

But the up side due to son's (Mr 15) schooling beginning to get to the pointy end He's in his second last year. School would prefer him to miss earlier rather than later................

So instead of having to wit till Sept/Oct we are looking at going in July!

Why not soak up some culture of Central Java?

Jogjakarta is the cultural capital of Java and is only an hour away from Bali. You can stay in comfort at a hotel in Jogja ($70) and check out Borobudur and Prambanan temples.

You can do lot of Batik shopping in Merlyboro (influenced by Marlboro cigarette co.) shopping area in Jogja.

Sorry that you wont be back in Lombok next year Funtrecker. Maybe you should have given Kuta ago last time Hubby might have enjoyed it more.

You can:

1. Convince your husband about a customized fishing trip in Kuta, Lombok.

OR

2. Take Mr. 14 and go for the fishing trip

OR

3. Obtain a "Temporary Balinese Divorce" available for only Rp.5,000 valid for five days at the Tourist Office in Ubud, Bali and go on a solo trip to Kuta, Lombok for a fishing trip piloted by Made, have tea in Ashtahari, visit sasak weaving village, climb Mt. Rinjani (or at least visit the first waterfall) and crash at Mimpimanis.

Before returning to Bali, obtain an anullment of the divorce at the Lombok Governor's office (fees $5) and tell the family what they missed.

Remember during this temporary period you don't have to worry about family laundry, timely meals, etc.

Come on only nine more decades to the 22nd Century
