We're freezing in Perth and now only 75 sleeps till we are there.

As you all know from my previous posts going to be staying at the Holiday Resort. Two bedroom family apartment.

Only there for 1 week although in Bali for another 3 - I think next year we'll have to head to Lombok for longer.

But in that short time what MUST we do???

On the list so far is:

Investigate Pearls for me.

Take hubby to Restaurant Ashtari for the fabulous view so he can take spectacular photos! Thanks to Josi for that suggestion.

Not sure what Mr 14 will enjoy but I'm sure we'll find something!

We are a family that’s been doing Bali for years. But new to Lombok this year!

Really in countdown mode now!

Thanks in advance!

Josi- I know you think we need to just chill but don’t want to miss what we can do in a short time.

If it was me I would do a day trip up to Senaru and let the others do one of the waterfall treks while I sat in Pondok Senaru enjoying the view and drinking coffee or Bintang :-)

I would also suggest a day trip down south but as you are planning on going to Ashtari looks like you have that factored in. About 5km further west from Ashtari you will come to Mawun beach which is my favourite beach in Lombok. So make a stop there too :-)

I'm just back from Bali and Lombok - I took a small group of yoga students with me and we spent 3 nights at Windy Beach Resort - just up the road from the Holiday Resort.

Prior to going I booked a day tour with A & T Tours that included a trip to the morning markets in Mataram, a stop at the Monkey Forest and boat trip to Gili Air. They were very professional, answered all emails promptly and there was a message from them when we arrived at the hotel confirming our tour arrangements. They have a lot of different tour options, and if nothing else checking out their website will give you some ideas of things to do.
