Ok - my turn for recommendations :-)

A friend of mine is coming over from London for a few weeks in August and we will be travelling around Bali & Lombok a bit with her. We will be looking at spending two nights in Senggigi/Mangsit to base ourselves for day trips to Senaru and the Gilis. I am looking for a reasonable budget hotel in the area. Budget being under Rp300,000 for a room. Pool is not a necessity as we will be away most of the time but might be nice for when we hit the hotel at the end of the day. Bulan Baru used to be a good option well below that price range but I never see it mentioned online nowadays. Has anyone stayed there recently or can you recommend anywhere else?

Ok - Bulan Baru is out for us as I found the online entry for Lonely Planet and there are no children allowed... so anywhere else?

Try something new.Stay in Ampenan.Everything nearby and no people that bother you with watches,postcards and other stuff.

It would be interesting if you could show some pictures of your losmen. Might be a good alternative the next time I visit Lombok. I have seen your sign by the road many times while passing by.

What are the big cans of Bintang down at the end? Water tanks?

What are your rates?

It's fine to see that the hyves page works because on my website I have only 4 pictures of it all.
We don't have a pool but on the pictures you could see the "traditional build"Indonesian swing.
The big cans of Bintang are used to put the watertanks on.
Our rates are 75000Rp for a room with fan and traditional mandi.
125000Rp for a room with airco and tv and traditional mandi.Breakfast is not included.

I just had a look at your pictures. Your place looks really nice. I'm in the process of planning my trip so might pop up on your doorstep one day.

Your rates are also very attractive to me! Even though I was wrong about the pool. It does look like there is a pool in some of the photos but maybe it is not your pool. I am happy with fan but my friend may want aircon so will work out fine I am sure. Do you have any extra charge for child in a room - he will be 4 by then?

Do you have secure parking is one more question as I will be bringing my car and will also want to leave it there also while we day trip in Gilis?

Your right,there is a pool but it's a fishpond.There is no extra charge for the child.But we have only 1 big bed in the room so the child must sleep with their parents.Sometimes we give guests an air-bed to use for their child.And we have an secure parking.You can park inside that's no problem.Hoping this info helps you.
