Information about Tanjuan Aan and Selong Blanak

Hello,
I am going to Lombok in December of this year and am starting to plan. I would like to ask some questions and will break them up into a couple of posts.
I went to the Selong Blanak area back in 1988 and remember it as difficult to get to but very beautiful. I also seem to remember talk of safety problems in that area or further east of there. Is it possible to stay there? Are there cheap or medium priced places to stay? I am also thinking about the Tanjuan Aan area. I have never been there and would like to hear thoughts on what it is like.

Accomodation is only in Kuta, but from Kuta it is very easy to go to Selong Blanak (1/2 hour) or Tanjung Aan (1/4 hour).
Tourists agressions seem to diseappear little by little, thanks to a better economy in the island. Tanjung Aan area is very safe now, a lot of guards are watching the area.

Selong Blanak is really beautiful area, but you need your own vehicule to explore it.

Can you see my website? I was wondering if my new website is visible also with low connection... or maybe there is now speed internet in Kuta

I can view it but I am in Bali on a reasonable connection at the moment. I am sure in Kuta it would take forever to load with all the photos etc.
